You can access the explore tab by tapping away from the home screen. The left side of the page features artists, different genres, and then suggestions based on your preferences. If you’re at the gym or hosting a party, you can select curated playlists from the “Moods and Activities” section.
One of the features I like best on Tidal is Tidal Rising, which can be found under the “Explore” tab. Artists who are less well-known and up-and-coming are featured on this page. I listen to music latently throughout the day. I am removed from my myopia regarding genres through recommendations like these. My exposure to international artists would not have occurred to me if I hadn’t been exposed to it.
A new update (v3.19.1) on Tidal displayed album credits updates by including release dates and videos. There is no longer any disproportionate album display because the image scaling has been improved. In addition, Tidal users reported that they saw irrelevant results for tracks when searching.
An update (v3.22.0) to Tidal’s personal playlists added a “date added” column on March 25, 2020. Additionally, minor bug fixes are included, as well as less intrusive update notifications.
Creating and listening to playlists as well as playing music
